    Product Details

Phragmipedium Leslie Garay (Phrag. caudatum × Phrag. longifolium) is a primary hybrid the RHS treats as a synonym of the classic Phrag. Grande, first made by Veitch in 1881. Expect dramatic flowers with long, twisting, pendant petals in green, bronze and rose, opening one at a time as the spike lengthens; a single spike can bloom for several months.

Phrag. caudatum comes from the Andes of Peru and Ecuador and longifolium from Costa Rica to Colombia, so give bright light, 58–85°F, constantly moist mix and a calcium supplement.

Blooming size — photos are representative of the plant size and maturity available. Plants are in 5" pots with 2 or more mature growths. Hybridized by our licensed partner nursery in Hawaii and finished in our Florida greenhouse, so it arrives acclimated to warm climates.
