    Plant Care Tips

    Sunlight Bright, filtered light (3,000–5,000 fc) during active growth. High light encourages female flowers.Warm: 60–90°F (16–32°C).

    Temperature Keep warm during active growing season (spring–fall).

    Water Water heavily, daily to every other day.

    Nutrition Fertilize weekly at 1/2 to full strength. These are heavy feeders.

    Dormancy When leaves yellow and drop in fall, stop watering entirely for the dormant period (winter). Resume when new growth appears in spring. You do not have to unpot or hide these orchids in dormancy.

    Product Details

    Longhueiara is one of the most complex Catasetinae intergenerics, combining Clowesia, Cycnoches, Mormodes and Galeandra. Longhueiara Jumbo Honor (Cyclodes Jumbo Freedom × Galeandra baueri, registered 2017) was bred by Jumbo Orchids and is rarely offered.

    Grow warm with bright, filtered light. Water generously during active growth and reduce water sharply once the plant goes dormant in winter.

    Fall 2026 Pre Order: please read
    • Pre-order window: September 28 to October 4, 2026.
    • Shipping: Plants are imported from Jumbo Orchids in Taiwan and ship by October 26, 2026 via the method selected at checkout.
    • Plant condition: Blooming-size plants shipped dormant and not in bloom. Catasetinae drop their leaves in the cool season. This is normal, and new growth starts as temperatures rise. The photo shows the flower for reference.
    • Free pickup: Attending the Delray Beach Orchid Society Show? Select 'Free Pick-Up' at checkout. Pickup is available during show hours only; orders not picked up will be invoiced for shipping.
    • Free shipping on orders of $99 or more, including pre-orders.
    • Choose your plant from the dropdown. Seedlings are grown from seed, so flowers may vary from the parents. Clones and divisions are the named plant.
