Product Details

Phragmipedium Mont Fallu (Phrag. longifolium × Phrag. Grande), registered by Eric Young Orchid Foundation in 1992, is back after a few years away. Roughly three-quarters longifolium and one-quarter caudatum, it produces large, heavy-substance flowers with long, ribbon-like petals in soft greens and blush tones, and the seedling population gives interesting variation from plant to plant.

Its species parents grow along streams and seepy slopes from Costa Rica to Peru, so give bright light, 58–85°F, constantly moist mix (many growers stand the pot in a saucer of fresh water) and a calcium supplement.

Blooming size — photos are representative of the plant size and maturity available. Hybridized by our licensed partner nursery in Hawaii and finished in our Florida greenhouse, so it arrives acclimated to warm climates. So good we'd love to hold them all back for judging.
