Plant Care Tips
SUNLIGHT Moderate, filtered light (1,500–2,500 fc). Slightly brighter than Paphiopedilum but still no direct midday sun.
TEMPERATURE Intermediate: 55–80°F (13–27°C). Tolerates a range but prefers consistent conditions without extreme heat.
WATER. Keep consistently moist—these are among the few orchids that appreciate "wet feet." Use a shallow water tray to catch runoff and prevent drying.
NUTRITION. Fertilize 1/4 strength weekly, Flush regularly to prevent salt buildup. Use our 15-5-15 Cal-Mag fertilizer for best results.
Shipping Info
Free shipping on orders of $99+ within the US, including pre-orders. Orders under $99 are calculated at checkout based on size, quantity and destination.
When will it ship?
Live plants ship on Mondays and Tuesdays only, so they never sit in a carrier facility over the weekend. Supplies and pottery ship within 5–7 days; if they’re in the same order as a plant, everything ships together on Monday or Tuesday.
Cold-weather shipping
We only ship live plants when temperatures are 40°F or above. Below 50°F we include a free 72-hour heat pack and ship to arrive within 1–3 days; addresses that need more than 3 days in transit require an expedited upgrade. In the coldest months plant shipments may pause until it warms up.
For details, see our Shipping Policy.

These Andean species grow in wet, bright habitats, so give strong light, 58–85°F, constantly moist mix and regular calcium — our crushed oyster shells and Cal-Mag fertilizer are ideal.
Blooming size — photos are representative of the plant size and maturity available. Mature plants in 5" pots, some starting to spike. Hybridized by our licensed partner nursery in Hawaii and finished in our Florida greenhouse, so it arrives acclimated to warm climates.
