Product Details

This complex Brassavola-line hybrid carries three generations of breeding behind its fuchsia blooms. Its seed line, Blc. YU Toung Star (Bc. Tetradip × Bc. Morning Glory), traces back to Bc. Tetradip — a 1967 Stewart Inc. cross of C. Bonanza 'Bracey' and Brassavola nodosa — bred again here with species Brassavola appendiculata.

The result leans hard on its Brassavola ancestry: narrow, pencil-like foliage and a fringed lip, but dressed in the saturated fuchsia-pink inherited from its Cattleya-line grandparents rather than nodosa's cream-white.

Compact and easy to grow, it asks for bright light, good airflow, and a dry-down between waterings — classic Brassavola culture, no special fuss required.

Because it's a further, unregistered cross rather than a single named grex, no two seedlings bloom quite alike — part of the appeal for growers who like a plant with a story. Blooming size and ready to show off its color.
