Pair it with a clay pot
Smooth-wall bowls hold moisture a little longer, a good match for this plant; side-hole pots dry faster. Adds to your cart, no page change.
Plant Care Tips
Sunglight Low to moderate, filtered light (800–1,500 fc). No direct sunlight; similar to Phalaenopsis light levels.Although multiflorals can take brighter light.
Temperature Intermediate: 55–80°F (13–27°C). Mottled-leaf types prefer warmer; solid green-leaf types tolerate cooler temps.
Water Keep medium slightly moist but never waterlogged. No pseudobulbs means less drought tolerance. Never let water sit in the crown.
Nutrition Fertilize 1/4 strength weekly, flush pots with clear water monthly.
Shipping Info
Free shipping on orders of $99+ within the US, including pre-orders. Orders under $99 are calculated at checkout based on size, quantity and destination.
When will it ship?
Live plants ship on Mondays and Tuesdays only, so they never sit in a carrier facility over the weekend. Supplies and pottery ship within 5–7 days; if they’re in the same order as a plant, everything ships together on Monday or Tuesday.
Cold-weather shipping
We only ship live plants when temperatures are 40°F or above. Below 50°F we include a free 72-hour heat pack and ship to arrive within 1–3 days; addresses that need more than 3 days in transit require an expedited upgrade. In the coldest months plant shipments may pause until it warms up.

Product Details
Paphiopedilum Charlene (Paph. haynaldianum × Paph. liemianum), registered by D. & J. Erdmann in 2002, pairs a multifloral with a sequential bloomer. The result is a large plant carrying several flowers with a green-striped dorsal and long, twisting, heavily spotted petals, blooming over an extended season.
Paph. haynaldianum grows in the Philippines and liemianum on limestone in Sumatra, so give warm to intermediate temperatures (60–88°F), bright indirect light and evenly moist bark. Hybridized by our licensed partner nursery in Hawaii and finished in our Florida greenhouse, so it arrives acclimated to warm climates.
