Product Details

Seidenanda Teddy Bear (Vanda lamellata × Seidenfadenia mitrata), registered by F-C. Lin in 2012, is a charming compact intergeneric that blooms young and reliably. Upright spikes carry salmon-pink flowers netted in rose with a vivid magenta lip and a light, sweet fragrance, while the foliage shows its mitrata side: long, narrow, succulent-like leaves.

Seidenfadenia mitrata grows in the seasonally dry forests of Myanmar and Thailand, and V. lamellata on sun-baked coastal trees from the Philippines to Borneo, so this hybrid is heat-tolerant and forgiving. Grow bare-root on a mount or plaque in bright light, 60–95°F, watering daily in summer.
