Smooth-wall bowls hold moisture a little longer, a good match for this plant; side-hole pots dry faster. Adds to your cart, no page change.
Plant Care Tips
Sunglight Low to moderate, filtered light (800–1,500 fc). No direct sunlight; similar to Phalaenopsis light levels.Although multiflorals can take brighter light.
Temperature Intermediate: 55–80°F (13–27°C). Mottled-leaf types prefer warmer; solid green-leaf types tolerate cooler temps.
Water Keep medium slightly moist but never waterlogged. No pseudobulbs means less drought tolerance. Never let water sit in the crown.
Nutrition Fertilize 1/4 strength weekly, flush pots with clear water monthly.
Shipping Info
Free shipping on orders of $99+ within the US, including pre-orders. Orders under $99 are calculated at checkout based on size, quantity and destination.
When will it ship?
Live plants ship on Mondays and Tuesdays only, so they never sit in a carrier facility over the weekend. Supplies and pottery ship within 5–7 days; if they’re in the same order as a plant, everything ships together on Monday or Tuesday.
Cold-weather shipping
We only ship live plants when temperatures are 40°F or above. Below 50°F we include a free 72-hour heat pack and ship to arrive within 1–3 days; addresses that need more than 3 days in transit require an expedited upgrade. In the coldest months plant shipments may pause until it warms up.

Product Details
Paphiopedilum wardii 'Freckles' HCC/AOS × sib offers seedlings from an award-winning clone of this charming species. Look for a green-striped dorsal, petals peppered with dark brown freckles, and a prominent pouch with fine dark veining — all over compact rosettes of mottled leaves.
In nature Paph. wardii grows in shaded, humid forests of Myanmar and Yunnan, China, at 1,000–1,500 meters, so give intermediate conditions (60–75°F), moderate light, consistently moist bark and a calcium supplement. As a sibling cross, expect some variation in spotting. Grown from lab-raised stock by our licensed partner nursery in Hawaii and finished in our Florida greenhouse, so it arrives acclimated to warm climates.
Blooming size — photos are representative of the plant size and maturity available. Limited quantity — understated elegance for the species collector.
