Vandachostylis Charm (Vanda falcata × Tham Yuen Hae), registered in 1987 by Takaki O.N., is a compact hybrid with big personality. Its Neofinetia heritage shows in the starry, long-spurred flowers, here a clear violet-purple, and a sweet fragrance that is strongest in the evening. Neat fans of leaves stay handsome even out of bloom.

Vanda falcata (formerly Neofinetia falcata) is the samurai orchid of Japan, Korea and China, so this hybrid tolerates cooler nights better than most Vandas. Give it bright, filtered light, 55–90°F and a small basket or mount that dries within a day.
