Shipping Info

Free shipping on orders of $99+ within the US, including pre-orders. Orders under $99 are calculated at checkout based on size, quantity and destination.

When will it ship?
Live plants ship on Mondays and Tuesdays only, so they never sit in a carrier facility over the weekend. Supplies and pottery ship within 5–7 days; if they’re in the same order as a plant, everything ships together on Monday or Tuesday.

Cold-weather shipping
We only ship live plants when temperatures are 40°F or above. Below 50°F we include a free 72-hour heat pack and ship to arrive within 1–3 days; addresses that need more than 3 days in transit require an expedited upgrade. In the coldest months plant shipments may pause until it warms up.

Product Details

Bulbophyllum trigonopus (syn. Bulbophyllum pulchellum, Cirrhopetalum trigonopus) is a miniature Cirrhopetalum-type species first described by Reichenbach in 1881. Short stems open a half-wheel of five to ten pink-to-red flowers, each with elongated lateral sepals that fan out like the spokes of an umbrella.

It grows on trees in low, open forests of Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo, from sea level to about 330 feet, so it is a true hot grower. Give it 65–95°F, bright filtered light, high humidity and frequent watering; a small mount or shallow pot keeps its compact pseudobulbs happy.

Blooming size in 4" pot— photos are representative of the plant size and maturity available. Big color from a plant that fits in the palm of your hand.
