    Bulbophyllum cupreum is named for its copper-colored flowers, which cluster tightly into eye-catching heads. True to many Bulbophyllums, the blooms carry an unpleasant scent designed to attract their natural pollinators — flies — so this is a species for curious collectors rather than the dining table.

    Native to Southeast Asian forests, it thrives in intermediate to warm temperatures (55–95°F), bright filtered light and steady moisture. A shallow pot or basket suits its creeping habit.

    Blooming size — photos are representative of the plant size and maturity available. Plants are established in 3" pots and have bloomed this year.
