Product Details
Bulbophyllum papulosum is a small Philippine species described by Leslie Garay in 1999 and placed in section Lepidorhiza. Its name refers to the wart-like papillae covering the lip, a detail that earns it the nickname "the warty Bulbophyllum." Arching stems about 6 inches long carry two or three waxy, inch-wide flowers in shades of yellow, orange and red.
A hot-growing epiphyte from Philippine lowland forests below 1,600 feet, it wants warmth (65–95°F), bright shade, high humidity and roots that never dry out completely. Grow it in a shallow pot or basket with moisture-retentive media, or mounted with daily misting.
